Hawaii pitcher Neil Uskali allowed four hits and two runs — both unearned — in seven innings.

Josh Rojas hit a tie-breaking single in the eighth inning to lead the University of Hawaii baseball team to a 3-2 comeback victory over UC Santa Barbara tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.

The ’Bows tied it at 2 on pinch hitter Logan Pouelsen’s sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Rojas then followed with a single to score Alex Fitchett from second with the go-ahead run.

Dominic DeMiero was UH’s scheduled starting pitcher, but he suffered a sore left (pitching) elbow during pregame warmups. Neil Uskali replaced DeMiero, allowing four hits and two runs — both unearned — in seven innings.

Casey Ryan earned the victory to improve to 2-0. Dylan Thomas pitched a scoreless ninth for his eighth save.

The teams meet Saturday in the regular-season finale beginning at 6:35 p.m.
