Nui Mono and Girlfriends will present their annual spring sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, just in time for Mother’s Day. The event will take place at Palolo Hongwanji, 1641 Palolo Ave.

The Girlfriends, whose work is carried at Nui Mono boutique in Moiliili, include Lisa Wiemken (Pitacus), Suzi Iizaki (Melons), Irene Kawaguchi (Wabi Sabi), Laurie Ito (Teru Jewelry), Wendy Kim Messier (hand- and screen-printed fashion), Cora Yee (jewelry), Sherrie Rupert (jewelry), Debbie Kaneshiro (jewelry), Kim Kono (bags, clothing and accessories), Marie Kodama (ceramics), and Esther Nowell (ceramics).

Sweet Charlotte will debut new Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Granola, and Nui Mono owner Lue Zimmelman will show her original Water Lily line of clothing as well as a special collection of kasuri tops and accessories inspired by her late mother and store founder Elaine Sumako Kawahara Costello.

Hui O Laulima will be selling cookbooks, gifts and bentos to raise funds for its Okinawan outreach and educational projects.
