Sig Zane designs limited-edition scarf for Girl Scouts of Hawai’i
The Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i has unveiled its exclusive 100th-anniversary scarf, designed by Sig Zane.
The limited-edition scarf depicts the pua kalaunu, or crown flower, which was a favorite of Queen Lili‘uokalani, who sponsored Hawaii’s first two troops. The design’s lei of 100 pua kalaunu is symbolic of the first century of Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i.
“Pua” means flower but also descendant or child, representing the girls who are a part of the organization.
The silk scarves are $495, with proceeds from sales benefiting Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i leadership development programs.
