Shortly before 5:15 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 16-500 block of Old Volcano Highway after the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in Keaau.

Police said the acquaintances got into an argument that escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim in the leg. Paramedics transported the victim to Hilo Medical Center where he was treated and released.
