The Chaminade softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader with Academy of Art in Brisbane, Calif., on Tuesday, falling 10-4 and 15-4.
The Silverswords (6-32, 3-19 Pacific West Conference) were playing for the fifth straight day and the seventh time in eight days.
In the first game, the Urban Knights (19-21, 11-11) scored all 10 runs between the second and fourth innings, including six runs in the third. The Silverswords narrowly avoided being run-ruled for the 10th time this season, scoring three runs in the fifth.
The second game had a more promising start, as Alisen Endsley blasted a three-run home run in the first inning to give Chaminade the lead. But the Silverswords gave up eight runs in the bottom of the frame, as the Urban Knights breezed to victory.
