‘Bows blow out Nevada in baseball

The University of Hawaii baseball team scored six runs in the fourth inning and four in the fifth en route to a 12-5 victory over Nevada tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbow Warriors amassed 14 hits in overcoming an early 4-0 deficit to improve to 16-8, matching their best 24-game start since 2007. They have won six in a row.
Brendan Hornung struggled, allowing 10 hits in seven innings. But he settled down after the fourth to improve to 3-2. Kyle Mitchell got the final six outs, including four on strikeouts.
Designated hitter Logan Pouelsen powered his second home run of the season. The ’Bows have hit 10, four more than they did in 53 games in 2016.
