NFL Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota answers a few questions today in an interview at Oahu Country Club.

Tanned and walking unhindered, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota said his rehabilitation from a broken fibula “is going a little better than planned.”

Mariota, who broke his leg in the third quarter of the Titans’ Dec. 24 game with Jacksonville when he was sacked by defensive tackle Sheldon Day, said he expects to be “ready to go” when the Titans’ training camp opens in late July.

He underwent surgery for a fractured right fibula, the smaller of the two bones of the lower leg, on Dec. 28.

He had been rehabbing in Oregon until returning home last week.

Today he is hosting a golf tournament fundraiser for his Motiv8 foundation.

“It is incredible to be (back) home … it has rejuvenated me,” Mariota said.

He is scheduled to report to Nashville next month for the opening of organized team activities and said his ability to take part in the OTAs will be reevaluated at that time.
