BYU volleyball sweeps Hawaii again
Sophomore opposite Stijn van Tilburg put down a match-high 17 kills but it was not enough as No. 4 Hawaii was swept by Brigham Young 25-19, 25-23, 28-26 tonight in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match in Provo, Utah.
The Cougars (19-2, 13-1 MPSF) used a balanced attack led by Jake Langlois (12 kills) and Brenden Sander (12 kills) to sweep the Warriors for a second consecutive night.
Hawaii (20-4, 10-4), the top blocking team in the country, was outblocked by BYU 14-4.5.
The Warriors return home to host Cal State Northridge in their final regular-season matches at the Stan Sheriff Center next Friday and Saturday.
