ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee, at her parent’s gym in Waipio last month, will defend her title in May.

Angela Lee isn’t wasting any time defending her title again.

The ONE women’s world atomweight champion will defend her belt for the second time in 76 days against undefeated Brazilian Istela Nunes on May 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, a ONE Championship official confirmed today.

Lee (7-0), a 2014 Mililani alumna, made the first successful defense of her 115-pound title with a third-round TKO of Jenny Huang at ONE: Warrior Kingdom on Saturday in Bangkok, Thailand, after a 10-month layoff.

Her next fight will take place against Nunes, 24, a two-time Muay Thai world champion who is 5-0 with one no contest.

Nunes won her last fight by split decision over Mei Yamaguchi. Lee, 20, became the first female world champion from Hawaii in a major organization with a unanimous decision over Yamaguchi last year.
