Hawaii volleyball gets another sweep beating No. 8 Stanford

Sophomore opposite Stijn van Tilburg put down 21 kills and No. 4 Hawaii won its 14th straight, sweeping No. 8 Stanford 25-22, 25-17, 25-22 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Senior middle Hendrik Mol, celebrating his 23rd birthday, was in on five of six UH blocks and added six kills for the Rainbow Warriors (19-2, 9-2 MPSF). Hawaii extended several streaks tonight: 18 consecutive home wins, 29 straight sets won, ninth MPSF victory in a row, 10th consecutive MPSF win at home and ninth sweep in row.

Senior hitter Gabriel Vega, an ‘Iolani alumnus, had 11 kills to lead the Cardinal (11-8, 6-6).
