Alaska Anchorage senior Kiki Robertson, a 2013 Mid-Pacific graduate, was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference defensive player of the year on March 1.
Robertson, who also was named to the All-GNAC second team for the fourth consecutive season, won the defensive award for the second time in her career.
She led the league averaging 3.4 steals per game and helped the Seawolves lead the entire NCAA Division II in steals at 16.1 per game.
Robertson ranked in the top 25 nationally in four categories as of March 1 — sixth in steals per game (3.4), 12th in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5), 20th in free-throw percentage (.867) and 21st in assists per game (5.5).
She finished with six points, six assists and two steals in a 79-70 win over Western Washington on Saturday to clinch a third consecutive GNAC title for the Seawolves.
UAA was selected as the top seed and will host the NCAA Division II West Region Championships on Mar. 10-13, opening against Hawaii Pacific.
Dunhour earns All-CCAA honors
Cal State East Bay senior Micah Dunhour was named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association second team last Thursday.
Dunhour, a 2011 Academy of the Pacific alumnus, became the first Pioneer to make the second team since 2012.
He finished fourth in the conference with a team-leading 16.9 points per game and was sixth in the CCAA averaging 7.0 rebounds per game. He also ranked seventh in minutes played (32.1 mpg) and field-goal percentage (.482).
Dunhour scored in double figures in 24 of 28 games with a career-high 31 against Cal State San Marcos on Jan. 5. In the final game of his collegiate career, Dunhour hit a game-winning fadeaway jumper with three seconds left to defeat Stanislaus State 68-66 and finished with 28 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.

Terao lost to the top seed in the final, 5-4, after tying the match with 20 seconds left with an escape. The NCAA Championships will be held March 16 to 18.
>> Blake Cooper, Pearl City ’14: The Warner Pacific redshirt sophomore fell one win short of defending his NAIA title with a second-place finish at 165 pounds at the NAIA National Championships on Saturday in Topeka, Kan. Cooper went 4-1 in the tournament, including a sudden victory in round 2 and a 17-6 decision in the semifinals, to earn All-America status.
