The state Department of Transportation has imposed a temporary vehicle weight limit of 25 tons for Ala Moana Boulevard between Piikoi and Queen streets while sewer work is underway, and reduced the speed limit to 25 mph.

The state Department of Transportation has imposed a temporary vehicle weight limit of 25 tons for Ala Moana Boulevard between Piikoi and Queen streets while sewer work is underway, and reduced the speed limit to 25 mph.
In addition, a single lane in the eastbound direction may be necessary, DOT said.
The weight and speed restrictions will be in place through March, until crews can install additional shoring for the Ala Moana Boulevard Pensacola Relief Sewer, following an inspection last month that mandated immediate repairs, according to DOT.
Electronic message boards have been placed in the area.
