Police investigate a traffic fatality on South King Street on Tuesday.

The woman who died after exiting a moving van in Makiki has been identified as Kerlin Bossy of Honolulu, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner.

Bossy, 20, exited the side door of a van in motion near the intersection of Pensacola and King streets at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Police said a 26-year-old woman was driving the van.

Bossy was taken by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services to a hospital, where she died.

The medical examiner said it is deferring making a determination of the cause of death at this time.
