After just two months, changes and modifications are underway at the Lucky Dragon, located just off the north end of the Strip on West Sahara Avenue.

The Dragon’s Alley night market has closed, and the large dining area inside will become the new location of the Pearl Ocean restaurant and new Dragon’s Alley Noodle Bar. The former Pearl Ocean space on the second floor will be converted into an expanded VIP gambling area. And after opening without craps, it’s rumored that at least one dice table will soon be added to the games mix.

Shrimp on vacation: Du-Par’s at the Golden Gate has ceased operations, leaving in question where the famous GG shrimp cocktail will be served. As of now the shrimp aren’t available for the first time in decades.

HR Oyster Bar: A new Oyster Bar has opened at the Hard Rock. Run by the former owner-chef of downtown’s recently closed Glutton, it’s in the All-Suite Tower and open daily from 11 a.m.

Big picture: The Plaza has covered its entire north-facing tower wall with giant murals. The images were created by Shepard Fairey, best known for his poster of Barack Obama titled “Hope,” and English artist D*Face.

Big hit: A man from Pennsylvania in town for the Super Bowl hit big at the Cosmopolitan. After playing the same Wheel of Fortune machine off and on over the weekend, he hit for a jackpot of $1.1 million.

Sports book makeover: The Wynn Las Vegas race and sports book is getting a makeover. The book will close in April, and a temporary book will operate out of Encore. The upgraded Wynn book will reopen in August.

Question: Your column lead last week was a bit misleading. I believe the O/U on the Super Bowl was 58 or 58.5. You sure you did your math before stating that the under bet was good?

Answer: The math was good, but a gremlin slipped into the copy. The Super Bowl total closed at 58.5, and the game landed on 62 points, so the over bettors were the winners on that wager.
