Kincaid’s Honolulu will close along with other Ward Warehouse tenants that must vacate by August to make way for redevelopment.
Restaurants Unlimited Inc., Kincaid’s Washington-based parent company, has no plans to relocate the restaurant that has served customers in Honolulu for some 40 years, according to a company spokesman.
The exact closure date for Kincaid’s is being worked out with Ward Warehouse management.
Island Air punctual on 87% of its flights
Island Air said Wednesday that 87 percent of its flights arrived on time in January and that it had no cancellations among its 1,134 scheduled flights.
The U.S. Department of Transportation considers a flight as being on time if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival time.
FHB’s chief information officer to retire
Gary Caulfield, vice chairman and chief information officer of First Hawaiian Bank, is retiring after 34 years at the bank, it was announced Wednesday.
Caulfield, who began his banking career with First Hawaiian in 1983 as an assistant vice president, was named vice chairman in 2003 and chief information officer in 2009.
Caulfield will be succeeded by Derek Baughman, who’s currently executive vice president, effective March 1.

First Hawaiian Bank has promoted several bank officers to senior vice president:
>> George C.K. Leong Jr. has been named senior vice president and team leader for the bank’s Commercial Real Estate Division. His responsibilities include managing and developing the commercial real estate client relationships of the bank. Leong has 28 years of bank lending experience, which includes joining First Hawaiian Bank in 2005 and serving as the division’s vice president.
>> Derek Wong is the new senior vice president for the Credit Products Department. He has more than 20 years of bank product management and marketing experience. Wong previously managed the bank’s deposit, small business and card products.
>> Eric B. Yee is the new senior vice president and leader of the Private Banking team at the Kapiolani Banking Center. He has worked in the banking industry in California and Hawaii for 23 years, which includes joining FHB’s Private Banking Division in 2010 and most recently serving as its vice president.
