Chauncey Orr had 26 points and 11 rebounds and Connor Looney added 18 points as the No. 3 Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team defeated Academy of Art 76-60 at Moanalua High School gym on Monday.
The Sharks improved to 23-2, 15-2 PacWest.
Kendall Brown scored 16 points for the Urban Knights (6-16, 5-11).
BYU-Hawaii women beat Fresno Pacific
Marian Sheikh scored 29 points and twin sister Safia Sheikh added 21 as the BYU-Hawaii women’s basketball team defeated Fresno Pacific 80-77 at Cannon Activities Center on Monday.
Megan Lee had 26 points for the Sunbirds but missed a 3-pointer with eight seconds left.
The Seasiders improved to 9-14, 6-11 PacWest and the Sunbirds fell to 5-20, 2-15.

Seasider softball splits with Simon Fraser
Alanna Anderson singled in Corallee Alexander and Sarah Captain with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning as the BYU-Hawaii softball team beat Simon Fraser 5-4 to earn a split of a doubleheader Monday in Laie.
In the top of the inning, Taylor Lundrigan drove in Taylor Gillis to put the Clan ahead.
In the first game, Lizabelle Talataina and Meghan Wantz both drove in two runs for the Seasiders in a 5-4 loss. BYU-Hawaii’s Roxane Dennis allowed four unearned runs in a complete-game performance.
The Seasiders moved to 1-5, while the Clan went to 3-1.
