The annual UH alumni baseball game was canceled due to the weather and the conditions of the Les Murakami Stadium’s field.

Baseball, softball and soccer — almost all of the outdoor sports — either were postponed or canceled on Saturday because of heavy rain and flash flood warnings that wreaked havoc on Hawaii’s sports landscape.
The University of Hawaii alumni baseball game and the UH softball Paradise Classic games will not be made up.
The Queen’s Medical Center/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Boys Soccer State Championships, however, have been rescheduled for Monday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
Saint Louis will play Hawaii Prep for the Division II title at 3 p.m. Kaiser and Punahou will play for the Division I championship at 6 p.m. Both matches will be televised on XCast.
The state soccer finals were originally scheduled for Saturday night. Earlier Saturday, the HHSAA canceled state consolation soccer matches between Mililani-Kealakehe, Baldwin-Kapolei, Waimea-Makua Lani and Kamehameha-Hawaii against Kailua.
The Wahine softball tournament saw all five of its scheduled games, including a doubleheader with UH playing Boise State and UAB, canceled. The Wahine will travel to Las Vegas for a tournament and return home to open a series against Oregon, starting Feb. 23.
Meanwhile, UH baseball will unveil its 2017 team Friday against North Carolina State.
Also affected was Saturday’s college softball doubleheader between Simon Fraser and Hawaii Pacific. The twinbill has been rescheduled for noon today, weather permitting, at Okita Field on the HPU-Hawaii Loa campus.
Outdoor events that took place as scheduled on Saturday included the state swimming championships at UH’s Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex and the Fed Cup World Cup tennis matches between the U.S. and Germany on Maui.
