Bloomingdales is celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Rooster with the Chinese lai see, or red envelope, tradition.

Between noon and 4 p.m. Saturday, pick up an envelope in Cosmetics on the first floor to try a new look for the new year and test your luck. Select envelopes will offer prizes such as a deluxe beauty sample or a limited edition Year of the Rooster cloth tote bag.

There will also be a Chinese calligraphy demonstration in Women’s Sportswear on the first floor, where the calligrapher will create a personal good fortune message for you.
