Robber pulls heist at Bank of Hawaii

CRIMESTOPPERS

Police are looking for a man who was armed with a handgun when he robbed the South King Street branch of Bank of Hawaii on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man entered the bank at 2470 S. King St. at 12:09 p.m. and handed the teller a demand note while displaying a handgun.

Police said he fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is described as between 50 and 60 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds with a medium build.

He was wearing a black hoodie, a black Nike baseball cap and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about this robbery or the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellphone.
