Prosecutors on Monday charged a 42-year-old Kahaluu man with first-degree attempted murder for shooting at an occupied police vehicle over the weekend.
Police arrested Glendon Young on suspicion of three counts of first-degree attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and drug and firearm offenses after the incident in a residential area in Kahaluu on Saturday afternoon. His bail was set at $1 million.
Police said Young fired shots at police officers and hit a police subsidized vehicle in which an officer was seated. After a brief struggle he was detained and arrested at his home.
No one was injured in the incident, police said.
