Ex-HPD cop sentenced to 10 years for sexually assaulting young girl
Former Honolulu police officer Jessie Laconsay was sentenced today in state court to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting an underage girl.
The sentence was part of a plea deal he negotiated with the prosecutor in exchange for his no contest pleas.
Laconsay, 37, pleaded no contest in November to four counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual assault. A grand jury returned an indictment last June charging him with four counts of first-degree sexual assault instead of second-degree assault. First-degree sexual assault carries a mandatory 20-year prison term.
The charges accused him of sexually assaulting a girl who was under 16 years old over a two-and-a-half year period.
Laconsay, a 10-year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department, resigned on Dec. 2.

wat a sic individual……..
The sad thing is that during his ten years on the force, Laconsay likely did many terrible things he will never face a reckoning for.
I know most cops are good people but there have been too many embarrassing and serious incidents of criminal behavior under Kealoha. I just wish we could get back to a sound administration and law-abiding cops we can respect.
Ex-cop, child molester, in prison for 10 years. Karma’s a bitch.
Yep, throw him into Halawa’s gen pop.
Now there’s a ladies’ man if I ever laid eyes on one. Only problem, his eyes are awful short.
Lose money……
Good job Mr. Prosecutor! Guess he needed a better lawyer?
