Obama-care passed predicated by 3 lies by the infamous speech he made prior to its passage! Also tax was misrepresented as fees and clarified by Supreme Court as taxes? After careful deliberations a new bill should be introduced and enacted so all legal residents are covered. States should provide health care needs to illegals needing medical attention. This provision will redefine the “sanctuary” issues.

cojef: Good post. One minor but significant correction is that you state “by the infamous speech”. I would change that to “by the infamous speeches”. The President repeated the phrase 36 times during his campaign.

IRT Cojef, fully agree with your post. I am a 100% disabled veteran, Agent Orange and received documents this week from the VA that I must include with my annual tax return. The letter was clear that ACA rules has the “IRS” tracking veterans. Why? I don’t know. Also, I’m a retired Contractors, Union members, and the Trust Fund staff. Hawaii has a huge advantage over other States, we had the best Health Care Program and can return to that with any additional Federal approvals for our advantage.

Don’t be surprised when the Donald eventually pushes a single pay plan. Just as Nixon, an anti commie, opened up China, the Donald, will convert the medical system to a single pay system. This will drastically reduce costs, expand number of people covered, and make the entire system more efficient.

    • cajaybird says:

Boots, doing so would drastically reduce the quality of care. Under such a system, only the wealthy would have quality health care.

      • Boots says:

As if that is not the case now? I believe the Donald made a positive statement about single pay in the past and with republicans determined to do away with Nixon care, they have to replace it with something.

(Boots): “A single payer plan … will drastically reduce costs, expand number of people covered, and make the entire system more efficient.”
Yah, just look at the VA, the Post Office, the GSA, the Hawaii DOE, collective farms in the Soviet Union and China, and any other government-run enterprise.
Socialism is an infantile power fantasy: “what a wonderful world it would be if I ran it”.

Too many hidden costs and penalties, for the people who already had medical or health insurance.

What ever happened to – injury or illness – medical bill – medical insurance or cash – medical bill paid ?

The Obamacare manual, was the encyclopedia version of War & Peace, that required Lawyers and Medical Administrators, years to interpret.

  4. localcitizen says:

Make it AFFORDABLE, by hitting those insurance companies. Look at the sticks that went up. Insurance companies…

  5. Marauders_1959 says:

Whatever replaces ACA, Congress, POTUS and all government employees must abandon their current plans and embrace the replacement.

  6. blackmurano says:

The very first thing should be done is replaced the name Obama care to something else. In a few days this Muslim liberal whose mentor growing up was a Marxist, will be departing the White house for good. Good riddance.

With the majority the Republican has in Congress, I hope they can repeal this expensive health and get it on President Trump’s desk to sign into law.

  7. CEI says:

Obamacare was a key piece of Barry’s “fundamental transformation” It was sold based on lies and the stu$idi#y of the American voter. It wasn’t long before it crashed and burned like many of us knew it would.

Obama-no-care never did! 14 more days!!!

    I can’t afford it.

    • dragoninwater says:

Just go to court and legally change your name to “Jesus Pedro Gonzalez” and reapply for Obamacare omitting your SSN. You’ll get free Obamacare and a Section 8 voucher in the mail. Hey 40+ million illegals are freeloading, why not you too!?

The right thing for congress to do is to improve Obamacare and then call it their own.

Congress should check out Singapore’s plan. A certain portion of someone’s income depending on their age and income goes into a “MediSave” account which can be used for less than catastrophic care. Prices are transparent. “Your ER visit is $110 and includes doctor’s visit, simple radiographs and basic lab tests. Physical therapy, scans, etc. cost extra.” The government has provided an endowment for patients who have not yet accumulated sufficient funds as a safety net called Medifund. Insurance companies have been marginalized. Sorry, but you can’t have it all. Good care at a reasonable cost immediately is not possible. Choose two. My last version of this got sent for moderation. I’m trying again leaving a single word off to see if it triggered the software to filter it.
