My deepest ALOHA to his ohana.
the tragedy happens too much
My Aloha to his family. If it’s any comfort, at least this man reached his life expectancy in Hawaii, which is 78 years of age. FWIW, it 76.88 years in North Dakota. In Mississippi, it’s 71.86 years.
Agreed. Close all beaches indefinitely till we find out why people are dying in the ocean.
I can help here. People die because they stop breathing. A number things can precipitate this unfortunate eventuality.
These incidents occur almost monthly at Ala Moana Beach Park. Ironically, most are there exercising by swimming but in the water a medical emergency is almost always fatal.
There probably needs to be more life guards on duty and patroling on stand up paddle boards to keep an active eye on swimmers.
I doubt however that this will happen so I would expect that these kinds of deaths will continue as they have for years.
