HFD personnel found a white liquid substance on the mauka side of Ala Moana Boulevard near Ena Road. It was found to be latex paint runoff from nearby building maintenance. The Hazmat unit used absorbent to remove the paint.
Some of the paint spilled into a storm drain, the Fire Department said. HFD notified the state Office of Hazard Evaluation and Emergency Response and the Coast Guard.
