Elliott DeFreitas added 12 points, Connor Looney had 11 and Spencer Vering contributed 10 for the Sharks (9-0, 3-0 PacWest), who trailed by 14 in the first half.
HPU held a 42-24 rebounding advantage.

Mackenzie lifts HPU women to victory
Breanna Mackenzie finished with 21 points, five assists and five steals as the Hawaii Pacific women’s basketball team beat Dominican (Calif.) 85-51 on Thursday at Moanalua High School.
Aminata Cole added nine points and 11 rebounds and VeAnne Navarro contributed 11 points for the Sharks (5-2, 3-0 PacWest).
Sandra Ikeora had 13 points and 15 rebounds for the Penguins (5-5, 1-2).
