>> The Central Pacific saw six tropical cyclones during the just-ended 2016 hurricane season, not five as reported on Page B1 Monday. The sixth cyclone, Tropical Storm Ulika, entered the Central Pacific on Sept. 29 and dissipated Sept. 30 far from the islands.
>> Gibson Johnson of the University of Hawaii basketball team took the unsuccessful last-second putback attempt against Troy on Friday. Stories on Page C1 Saturday and Page C6 Sunday said Jack Purchase took the shot.
Clarification
>> City Councilman Ron Menor clarified that he approached the family of Mark Takai about renaming the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center at the Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park after the late U.S. congressman. In a Page B2 story Monday, Menor said the Takai family had requested the name change.
