>> City Council Bill 69, requiring automated external defibrillators on all new Oahu buildings with occupancy of 20 or more, would take effect Jan. 1, 2018. A Page B2 story Sunday said the new law, if passed, would take effect in 2019.

>> The state has proposed new rules for homeless shelters requiring operators to provide a minimum of 30 square feet per person in single-tier beds or 20 square feet per person in two-tier beds. At least 50 cubic feet of airspace must be provided per person. When “arranged head-to-toe,” beds also would have 3 feet of separation. A Page A1 story Nov. 21 said shelters would have to increase each client’s sleeping space to 10 cubic feet from 6 cubic feet.
