You don’t have to wait until December to get in the holiday spirit, thanks to the return of “Hawaii’s Home for the Holidays” programming on KSSK-FM.
Starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday and continuing 24 hours a day through Christmas, the radio station will broadcast nothing but holiday tunes to keep things festive for listeners. Along with KSSK, iHeartMedia Hawaii station KDNN-HD2 (No Ka Oi) will broadcast Hawaiian-style holiday music from Wednesday through Dec. 25.
Oceanic Time Warner Cable subscribers can enjoy “Christmas Mele Classics” at 7:30 p.m. Sundays on OC16 starting Dec. 4 and repeating all week. Local recording artists including the Makaha Sons, Ben Vegas, Loyal Garner, Kapena, Daniel Ho, Jake Shimabukuro, Society of Seven and Glenn Medeiros will be featured, and the network will dedicate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to a “Christmas Mele Classics” marathon along with holiday-themed episodes of other OC16 favorites.
