Design firm shortens name to G70
Honolulu architecture and design firm Group 70 International Inc. has shortened its name after 45 years in business, and now goes by G70.
The company had been referring to itself by the condensed name in recent months, and Monday announced the change more broadly after changing its address to
g70.design on the World Wide Web.
G70 said the change was led by third-generation partners in the firm and involved an 18-month-long process that included focus groups and identifying future leaders.

It appears bigger isn’t always better.
Teddy’s Bigger Burgers announced Monday that the 18-year-old kamaaina restaurant chain will re-brand itself Teddy’s Steak Burgers.
The change will start with the Teddy’s Aiea location this week as part of renovating the store.
“We just needed a face-lift,” company co-founder Ted Tsakiris said in a statement, adding that the new name also ”embodies the full flavor of our burgers.”
Teddy’s was established in 1998 by Tsakiris and Rich Stula. The company has 12 restaurants in Hawaii, six on the mainland and about 10 international locations.
