No. 14 Rainbow Wahine sweep UC Davis
Senior opposite Nikki Taylor put down 16 kills and No. 14 Hawaii won its eighth straight, sweeping UC Davis 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 in a Big West volleyball match tonight in Davis, Calif.
Freshman setter Norene Iosia turned in her 10th double-double (33 assists-12 digs) as the Rainbow Wahine (20-5, 13-1) notched their 23rd consecutive 20-win season.
Junior libero Savanah Kahakai added 14 digs for Hawaii, which ran its set winning streak to 22 in a row. The Wahine also have held opponents under 20 points in 15 consecutive sets.
The win gives UH coach Dave Shoji 1,199 career victories.
Aima Eichie led the Aggies (13-14, 6-7) with 14 kills and libero Malia Bolko had a match-high 22 digs.
Hawaii closes out the regular season with two matches at the Stan Sheriff Center, hosting Cal Poly on Thursday and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. The latter will be senior night for Taylor, Annie Mitchem, Tayler Higgins and Katiana Ponce.

Strangely, no mention of Annie Mitchum in the report above. Was she ill, injured, or benched somehow? Shes always very productive!
She played but had an off night. The player that I am critical of had a kill percentage of .050. Dunno why Shoji does not replace her.
Don’t think that’s going to happen.
They won but looks like they didn’t come with their A game. If they want to go deep in the tournament they need to play like they did against LBS every match. Don’t know if they were just taking Davies lightly but Shoji needs to light a fire under them or they will be out and gone.
