Emma Tecklenburg recorded 10 kills and four aces to lead Chaminade’s women’s volleyball team in a 25-23, 25-21, 26-24 win over Fresno Pacific on Friday at Fresno, Calif.
Kuulei Lynch added eight kills and was in on four blocks for the Silverswords (15-11, 9-8 PacWest). Karah Mitchell led the Sunbirds (8-13, 6-11 PacWest) with 15 kills.
>>Hawaii Hilo fell in three sets to Holy Names 25-18, 25-16, 25-13 on Friday in Oakland, Calif. Marley Strand-Nicolaisen finished with nine kills and 15 digs for the Vulcans (9-12, 7-9 PacWest). Madison Stark posted a match-high 11 kills in the Hawks’ first conference win (2-23, 1-16 PacWest).

Silverswords upset Alaska-Anchorage
Rohndell Goodwin scored 26 points as the Chaminade men’s basketball team upset No. 12 Alaska Anchorage 92-81 in the opener of the PacWest/GNAC Challenge on Friday at Moanalua High School.
Dantley Walker and Kiran Shastri added 19 points for the Silverswords (1-0). Sekou Wiggs scored 33 points for the Seawolves (2-1).
