Honolulu City Lights’ “2016 Holoholo Pearl Harbor” ornament pays tribute to the U.S. armed services and tells a story: Shaka Santa drives a trolley from Pearl Harbor to Honolulu Hale, where sailors are greeted by Tutu Mele (aka Mrs. Claus). In the second ornament, “Saluting Pearl Harbor,” Santa salutes the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri, the “Mighty Mo.”
The patriotic ornaments were designed by Shaka Santa creator Owen Ho, who is a founding board member of the Friends of Honolulu City Lights. Proceeds from sales support the free annual holiday event. They will be sold during the holiday season at Macy’s stores and First Hawaiian Bank branches for $18 plus tax.
Want to send one as a gift to mainland friends or family? Shipping is free with online orders from honolulucitylights.org for $24.
