Palolo man arrested for allegedly choking woman in University area
Police arrested a 29-year-old Palolo man after he allegedly tried to strangle a woman in the University area early this morning.
Police said the suspect and the victim, 29, were arguing at about 12:35 a.m. The argument escalated and the suspect allegedly choked her. Bystanders intervened and police arrested the man on suspicion of abuse shortly afterwards.
The woman sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
