The strong early-voting turnout by those likely to support Clinton could leave Donald Trump with virtually no path to the 270 electoral votes needed for victory.
Clinton is showing strength in Florida and North Carolina, both must-win states for Trump, as well as the battleground states of Nevada, Colorado and Arizona. There are even favorable signs for Clinton in Republican-leaning Utah and Texas.
Early voting is underway in 37 states. More than 12.5 million votes have been cast, far higher than the rate in 2012.

Gee Dragginginthewater. If you had read further, you would have seen that the California suit was dismissed for technical filing reasons including an invalid address in the complaint. The suit was amended and re-filed in New York. There is a status hearing on Dec. 16th in NYC where attorneys for Mr. Trump will need to appear. The complaint and affidavits are available in their entirety on Scribd and are pretty disgusting reading.

Whether the suit is refiled or not, I’d like to see an investigation reveal exactly what’s happened throughout this process. If the charges are true, I hope Trump serves hard time. If not, I hope the causations behind this are fully disclosed.

Secondly, you don’t seem to understand that a civil trial can not lead to an arrest as a civil trial is not a criminal trial so no one would ever be arrested even if found guilty in a civil trial. Only the DA can file criminal charges as rape with an underage person is automatically classified as statutory rape which is an automatic felony. There is no DA filing charges, there isn’t even a police report. As to your question–Historically, early voting has favored the Democrats in some key states, and in 2008 35 percent of votes are cast before the election according to the Associated Press. That’s up from 22 percent in 2004.
In 2008, for example, Barack Obama won 58 percent of the pre-election day votes to Sen. John McCain’s 40 percent and managed to win Colorado, Florida, Iowa and North Carolina even though on election day more people in those states voted for Senator McCain – which speaks to the overall enthusiasm young and minority American Democrats felt for Obama.
In short, from a data perspective, it is more than proven early voting greatly favors Ds.
The problem with any form of early voting is the fact that new information hits fast and hard these days. An early voter may have cast a vote for a candidate who, on November 7th, may be exposed by mass media to be a thief, a blatant and habitual liar, a domestic abuser, an illicit drug user, a child porn collector or what-have-you. Not saying such would make any difference to the party faithful of whatever stripe.

Voters are merely indicating a preference for president, but the task of actually electing the president falls to 538 individual electors to the US Electoral College.
What is the Electoral College?
To put it simply, each state is assigned a number of electors to the Electoral College, based on that state’s delegation to the United States Congress.
There are 50 states.
Each state has two members of the US Senate, so there are 100 senators.
There are 435 members of the US House of Representatives, who are appointed by state on the basis of population, with each state having a minimum of one.
Therefore, the least populous states, such as Alaska and Wyoming, send three members to Congress – two senators and one representative. Conversely, the most populous state, California, sends two senators and 53 representatives, for a total of 55.
California’s vote in the Electoral College is therefore 55.
