A Celebration of Life for Bill Kwon, one of Hawaii’s most esteemed sports writers and editors, will be held Thursday at Waialae Country Club.
The event for friends and family will start at 1:30 p.m., with a short program at about 2, followed by food and drink while enjoying one of Kwon’s favorite pastimes, watching the NFL.
No flowers or outside liquor, and dress is casual and golf attire.
Chaminade volleyball swept by Concordia
Kim Spring and Emma Tecklenburg both had eight kills, but the Chaminade volleyball team lost to Concordia (Calif.) 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 on Sunday at McCabe Gym.
Rachel Flynn finished with 19 kills for the Eagles (19-2, 10-2 PacWest).
The Silverswords fell to 9-9, 3-6.
