Kuliouou’s Noa Mizuno and Mahina Maeda of Sunset Beach clinched their divisions at the Turtle Bay Resort Pro Junior on the North Shore on Friday. It was the last World Surf League Junior Qualifying Series of the year and both Mizuno and Maeda earned berths for the World Junior Championship in Australia in January 2017.

Maui’s Cody Young placed second in the men’s division and also qualified for the Australian event with women’s runner-up Brisa Hennessy, men’s third-place finisher Noah Hill and Christopher Bluthardt.
