Maui domestic violence event offers resources
The Maui County Committee on the Status of Women is hosting its third annual Domestic Violence Awareness Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Queen Kaahumanu Center.
The event will provide information about domestic violence and the support and resources available.
Participating organizations include Women Helping Women, Parents and Children Together, Child & Family Services, the Maui Office of the Prosecuting Attorney – Victim Witness Program, and the Maui Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit.
“It’s up to us as a community to help stop the madness of domestic violence,” said Sheila Kelley, vice chairwoman of the Committee on the Status of Women. “Our hope is that this event can offer hope and healing to anyone needing help in saying ‘No more’ to an abusive situation.”

49-year-old Kauai resident goes missing
Kauai police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 49-year-old man.
Andrew Keikaika Hall, also known as Andrew Lomma Keikaika, was reported missing by his family, which is concerned for his welfare.
Hall is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a light tan complexion.
Anyone with information on Hall’s whereabouts is urged to call police dispatch at 241-1711 or Crime- Stoppers at 246-8300.
