The University of Arizona will hold special ceremonies at Saturday’s football game with Hawaii in remembrance of the upcoming 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the loss of the U.S.S. Arizona, UA announced.

UA officials are asking fans in Tucson to enter Arizona Stadium “by 7:40 p.m. in order to take part in a memorable National Anthem, coin toss presentation, and halftime tribute to recognize, remember and honor the memory of the U.S.S. Arizona and its officers and crewmen, including the 1,177 who lost their lives on Dec. 7, 1941.”

The Arizona football team is scheduled to enter the field carrying a 48-star U.S. internment flag, with the flag to be presented at midfield to U.S.S. Arizona survivor Lauren Bruner prior to the coin toss.

Arizona officials said the game program will feature a commemorative cover, information on the the school’s connection to the U.S.S. Arizona, “and a list containing the names of the 1,177 crewmen and officers, who lost their lives aboard the U.S.S. Arizona.”

The game will be shown on the Pac-12 Network with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. Hawaii time.
