Windward Mall is accepting applications through Oct. 10 from local nonprofits, school groups, sports teams, hula halau and other community organizations to participate in this year’s 12th annual Festival of Giving fundraiser.
Under the program, participating organizations sell $10 tickets that give buyers access to store discounts, dining specials, door prizes and entertainment during the Festival of Giving, Nov. 11-13. The groups get to keep 100 percent of ticket sales.
Last year 67 organizations were able to raise nearly $100,000 to support their work.

Fashion exhibition explores cultural evolution in islands
Work by Native Hawaiian artists Solomon Enos and Marques Hanalei Marzan are on display in the second installment of Fashion Annex at Ala Moana Center. The exhibition, “Reboot: Fashion Futures,” explores Hawaii’s cultural evolution through the meaning, ritual and symbolism of fashion.
Enos is an artist and educator whose work blends traditional Polynesian stories with contemporary science fiction, expressed through oil paintings, book illustrations, outdoor murals and mixed-media sculptures.
Marzan is a fiber artist whose couture garments incorporate traditional construction techniques such as weaving and knot-tying and are made with vegetable dyes, fibers and other natural materials.
The exhibition is open from noon to 5 p.m. daily through Oct. 25 on Mall Level 2, Mauka Wing (near J. Crew on the Island).
