Why do people go 300 yards offshore?
Some of us really like to swim. A good example is the North Shore Swim series each summer. The underwater views are often spectacular a bit away from shore. That said, people shouldn’t do ocean swims alone any more than they should go hiking in the mountains alone.
So us folks 200 yards out don’t get bit first.
Is that a biting comment?
Very sharp witted!
just, I guess you’re not a surfer/body boarder. Surf breaks are over 300 yards out. That’s why people go out that far. Diamond Head surf break is WAYYY more than 300 yards out.
Hope she recovers. It is alarming that she was so far out. I don’t go out that far and I have fins and sometimes my leashed boogie board. Dark areas scare me!
