Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort today became one of two Hilton Worldwide resorts to introduce a new app, called Fun Finder, that gives registered Hilton HHonors guests access to insider information, special offers and personalized recommendations.
Available exclusively within the free Hilton HHonors guest-loyalty program app, Fun Finder uses Wi-Fi, GPS and beacon technology to act as a personal travel guide. The app, which also debuted at the Texas-based Hilton Anatole, soon will be expanding to other Hilton resorts.
Fun Finder provides recommendations based on arrival and departure information, preferences collected in a pre-arrival survey, the current time and a guest’s location in the resort. It can help guests navigate the resort, take advantage of last-minute bookings and locate special offers like happy-hour specials. For instance, Hilton HHonors members who opt into the feature at the Hilton Hawaiian Village might receive an invitation for a walking tour or a drink special at the bar as a thank-you for attending the Waikiki Starlight Luau.
“We are making it easier than ever for our guests to be spontaneous and seize every opportunity to enjoy their stay, giving our Hilton HHonors members the inside scoop before they even have to ask,” Joshua Sloser, vice president of Digital Product Innovation, Hilton Worldwide, said in a press release. “Fun Finder is a huge leap forward for the hotel industry — we’re artfully blending technology with exceptional experiences in a way that gives travelers a smarter, more personalized stay.”
Hilton HHonors members can explore resort offerings and even make reservations for dinner or the spa before catching their flight. Real-
time messaging with the
resort’s team can address needs, ranging from getting extra pillows to a late checkout.
“We’re re-imagining the guest experience, finding new ways our Hilton HHonors app can better connect members to what they love,” said Rich DiStefano, senior director of Mobile Products, Hilton Worldwide, in a press release. “Fun Finder will also transform how our hotels manage themselves, as it provides real-time insights on everything from where additional team members are needed to what time of day guests are most interested in fitness classes.”
