Daisia LaBrie recorded a team-high 13 kills with a .526 hitting percentage to lead the Chaminade women’s volleyball team over Montana State-Billings, 25-23, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19 on Friday at McCabe Gym.
Waihilo Chartrand posted 21 digs for the Silverswords (2-0) in the win. Ashlynn Ward led the Yellowjackets (1-1) with a match-high 21 kills.
BYU-Hawaii splits doubleheader in Laie
The BYU-Hawaii women’s volleyball team split a pair of matches on Friday in preseason play. The Seasiders (2-3) fell to Alaska Fairbanks 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20, but defeated San Francisco State 25-16, 25-10, 25-22.
Sinamoni Tonga and Leilani Adolpho led BYUH with 13 kills each against the Nanooks (1-1), while Lacy Lange finished with 13 kills and 10 digs against the Gators (0-2).
