Director Kevin Smith slams online criticism of his daughter
Director Kevin Smith is taking on an online troll who called his daughter “ugly” and “talentless” and wished her dead on Instagram.
Smith posted on Facebook the comment he says his 17-year-old daughter, Harley Quinn Smith, received after posting a picture of herself on Instagram. Smith writes that his daughter took the comment in stride and was “bemused by the bitterness.”
He says the commenter would be better off making his “own dreams come true, instead of slamming others for doing the same.”
Smith directed his daughter in “Yoga Hosers,” which is set for wide release next month.

Huh??? Who are these people, and why should anyone care about them?
Agree. I never heard of either person. SA runs too many “filler” stories out of Hollywood and the AP. Let us cover the local news. OK?
Oh, and Al, I *know* you’re around 80 years old. Why else would you claim to be a 20-something college girl for two decades?
huh? I was asking for more local coverage of the news.
Why do people bother wasting their times even commenting on every single article if they think there is no significance to them. The whole point was to bring up the issue of cyber bullying and how people deal with it. I bet even you know somebody who is affected by some sort of cyber bullying in this day and age when everything is online for the whole world to comment on.
EXACTLY.
You must be at least in your 60s not to know who Kevin Smith, who is an icon amongst Gen-X filmmakers.
At least my excuse for bad grammar before 7am is lack of coffee.
Put a chip in them and give the tracker to someone who cares, good-luck finding someone.
Who are these people? Why are they in the news at all?
Who is Keven Smith? And if “Smith writes that his daughter took the comment in stride and was “bemused by the bitterness.” then why is this newsworthy?
I’m nearly 70, and I love Kevin Smith! I think it’s sad when anonymous people pick on a 17-year-old, especially her physical attributes. Adolescence is hard enough, teens don’t need jerks like this to make it worse.
Sticks and stones people……
this is such old news….
man SA your slow…..
just like everything in this state….
