4 pounds of meth, coloring books mailed to Hawaii
Authorities intercepted a package mailed from California to Hawaii containing more than four pounds of crystal methamphetamine and four children’s coloring books.
The package led to arrests of three men and the seizure of $552,000 cash.
A federal judge today ordered one of the defendants, William Notyce, held without bail.
According to court documents, a U.S. Postal Service inspector last week located a suspicious package being mailed from Redwood City, California to a Honolulu post office box.
Authorities removed the drugs, replaced it with pseudo meth, repackaged it with the coloring books and installed a tracking device.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Marion Percell says Notyce was the one who opened the package and gave instructions to the others about it.

The mayor of Fairfax City, Virginia, who supports Hillary Clinton, was arrested Thursday for allegedly giving methamphetamine to an undercover detective in exchange for sex, according to Fairfax County police.
Richard “Scott” Silverthorne, 50, was nabbed in the parking lot of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Tysons Corner. He was charged with felony distribution of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The mayor, who has held office in the Washington, D.C. suburb since 2012, was allegedly trading meth for sex on a website used to set up male-on-male sexual encounters.
How does his support for Hillary have any significance whatsoever in this case?
Really can we leave Politics out of this unless it’s a Political article ???
(thank you)

Trump acts like he is on meth..he always has that stupid look on his face and tells bad jokes. Lot like him on Kuhio at night.

That’s a mighty big handful of straw you have there.
Mighty big headful, too.

High dollar private attorney. Must be a serious player in business.
Who gets the $552,000 cash afterwards? Not us taxpayers, right?
You got that right … NOT US !!!!!
What about the coloring books? And the poor kids who won’t be able to use them. It’s always the keiki who suffer the most!
OHHHH…THE HUMANITY!!! Life is just not fair.
Batu smokers color very very carefully between the lines.
speaking from experience?
Hats off to the US Postal Inspectors and the DEA! Thanks for taking this poison off of our streets.
Ditto!
And the dope sniffing dogs, too.
Excellent Job Postal inspectors and DEA! Keep it up! Now if the court system can keep them locked up, eh?
I agree – the postal inspector did good. However, it makes me wonder what is considered a “suspicious package”. Most packages all look about the same and anyone sending drugs would insure that nothing is odd about the package. They must be using dogs to sniff out the drugs. If not, there must be tons of drugs getting through the mail system.
