Russian television shows what Kremlin thinks of Clinton

During her recent acceptance of the Democratic party nomination to run for the U.S. presidency, Hillary Clinton said Russia is an enemy and cannot be trusted, a statement which clearly stung the Kremlin and seems to have heralded a new era for the coming presidency if Clinton wins.

MOSCOW >> To understand what the Kremlin thinks about the prospect of Hillary Clinton becoming the U.S. president, it was enough to watch Russian state television coverage of her accepting the Democratic nomination.

Viewers were told that Clinton sees Russia as an enemy and cannot be trusted, while the Democratic Party convention was portrayed as further proof that American democracy is a sham.

In her acceptance speech, Clinton reaffirmed a commitment to NATO, saying she was “proud to stand by our allies in NATO against any threat they face, including from Russia.”

In doing so, she was implicitly rebuking her rival, Republican nominee Donald Trump, who has questioned the need for the Western alliance and suggested that if he is elected president, the United States might not honor its NATO military commitments, in particular regarding former Soviet republics in the Baltics. Trump has also praised Vladimir Putin as “a tough cookie,” although on a U.S. talk show Sunday he declared several times “I have no relationship with Putin.”

While Trump’s position on NATO has delighted the Kremlin, Clinton’s statement clearly stung.

“She mentioned Russia only once, but it was enough to see that the era of the reset is over,” Channel One said in its report.

As U.S. secretary of state, Clinton in 2009 presented her Russian counterpart with a red button intended to symbolize a “reset” in relations between the two countries, one of U.S. President Barack Obama’s initiatives. In Russia, the gesture is best remembered for the misspelling of the word in Russian, while the reset itself failed in the face of Putin’s return as Russian president in 2012 and Russia’s seizure of Crimea from Ukraine two years later.

Clinton once compared the annexation of Crimea to Adolf Hitler’s moves into Eastern Europe at the start of World War II, a comparison that was deeply offensive in Russia, where the country’s victory over Nazi Germany remains a prime source of national pride.

Putin was outraged by U.S. support for Ukraine and U.S. military intervention around the world, particularly in Libya, on Clinton’s watch. But it was what he saw as interference in Russia that really rankled.

When Clinton described Russia’s 2011 parliamentary elections as rigged, Putin said she was “sending a signal” to his critics. He then accused the U.S. State Department of financially supporting the protests that drew tens of thousands of people to the streets of Moscow to demand free elections and an end to Putin’s rule.

In the years since, the Kremlin has defended Russian elections in part by implying they are no different than in the United States, a country it says promotes democracy around the world while allowing the U.S. business and political elite to determine who wins at home.

The Democratic Convention, which ended Friday morning Moscow time, was given wide coverage throughout the day on the nearly hourly news reports on state television, the Kremlin’s most powerful tool for shaping public opinion.

Channel One began its report by introducing Clinton as “a politician who puts herself above the law, who is ready to win at any cost and who is ready to change her principles depending on the political situation.” The anchorwoman couched the description by saying that was how Clinton is seen by Trump’s supporters — but it was a nuance viewers could easily miss.

The reports ran excerpts of Clinton’s speech, but the camera swung repeatedly to a sullen Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, her Democratic challenger, and his disappointed supporters.

The Rossiya channel also showed anti-Clinton protesters outside the convention hall who it said “felt they have been betrayed after the email leak that showed Bernie Sanders was pushed out of the race.”

Russia is a prime suspect in the hacking of Democratic National Committee computers, which led to the release of emails showing that party officials favored Clinton over Sanders for the presidential nomination.

The Kremlin has denied interfering in the U.S. election. A columnist at Russia’s best-selling newspaper, however, said it would have been a smart move.

“I would welcome the Kremlin helping those forces in the United States that stand for peace with Russia and democracy in America,” Israel Shamir wrote in Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Trump, meanwhile, has encouraged Russia to seek and release more than 30,000 other missing emails deleted by Clinton. Democrats accused him of trying to get a foreign adversary to conduct espionage that could affect this November’s election, but Trump later said he was merely being sarcastic.

CNN has taken a step to go down the path of putting the democrats and Clinton on a questionable landscape of what goes on with them. Is CNN, being the major media outlet of the globalist, having 2nd thoughts of their candidate for the American presidency. If so this will play out as the beginning of the Clinton’s downfall.

In “Partners in Crime,” two-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi presents the detailed research and expert testimony proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Clinton Foundation is “a vast, criminal conspiracy,” also described in these pages as “a slush fund for grifters.”

Corsi exposes how the Clintons amassed hundreds of millions of dollars in personal net worth, while building a $2 billion empire in the Clinton Foundation. The victims are countless thousands of honest people who contributed their hard-earned money to what they thought were philanthropic causes. The sordid tale involves suspicion of Enron-like fraudulent accounting practices by none less than PricewaterhouseCoopers, a “Big Four” firm, as well as the several “shell corporations” and “pass-through” bank accounts Bill Clinton has established in secret to hide what amount to kickbacks from Clinton Foundation donors and sponsors.

In “Partners in Crime,” Corsi provides readers the names and addresses of state attorney generals throughout the country, explaining that any one state in the Union can get a temporary restraining order from a state judge to place the Clinton Foundation in receivership and launch law enforcement examinations of Clinton Family philanthropic fraud accomplished on a global scale.

It is not enough, Corsi concludes, to appeal to Hillary Clinton to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race in disgrace. A national campaign to “Shut Down the Clinton Foundation” must be launched, Corsi insists, to prevent Barack Obama and other heads of state worldwide from following the Clinton Family crime formula to create their own “charitable foundations” to enrich themselves upon leaving office.

I think it would be a step in the right direction if she were to shift the focus of her remarks from “Russia” which encompasses a huge geographic area, a diverse people, and a rich history to the more accurate and precise “the present leadership of the Russian state.”

PHILADELPHIA – The National Security Agency (NSA) has “all” of Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails and the FBI could gain access to them if they so desired, William Binney, a former highly placed NSA official, declared in a radio interview broadcast on Sunday.
Speaking as an analyst, Binney raised the possibility that the hack of the Democratic National Committee’s server was done not by Russia but by a disgruntled U.S. intelligence worker concerned about Clinton’s compromise of national security secrets via her personal email use.

Binney was an architect of the NSA’s surveillance program. He became a famed whistleblower when he resigned on October 31, 2001, after spending more than 30 years with the agency.

If Hillary is elected and i said “IF”. How is Hillary ever gonna improve U.S./Russia’s relations if she insists that they are the enemy? This is a big mistake, where is the diplomacy? This is not presidential material, and will merely be doing the same thing Obama has done for the past 7.5 yrs. This is just plain Crazy!

    • Bumby says:

Diplomacy none for the sake of Russia, us and the world. Conspiring for the good of America with other nations have not heard much.

Sadly she has shown war mongering beliefs throughout her career, with devastating results. She voted for the war in Iraq and helped engineer the demise or Gaddafi, which led to the Libya becoming a failed state and a haven for terrorists. She has tried to continue the same policy in Syria and now is stoking Russia as an enemy.

Another example of Crooked Hillary’s bad judgement. The Democrats are a poor example of democracy, rigged elections, corrupt officials. Unfortunately, we Republicans have our share. We need a good house cleaning.
It’s time we have peace and detente in the World. Crooked Hillary is not the leader we need.

    • Boots says:

Just because Hillary has had bad judgement in the past does not maker her crooked. Republicans are in a far worse position as they have no one. The last republican for example who actually did what republicans have preached most of my life was Eisenhower. Sad.

coverage of the presidential election is so skewed and biased–if you just read the headlines or look at the photos–the media including makes DT look foul and HC look so appealing–bogus–a little is expected but so blatant & one sided publications. hope that American people wake up–this is the D machine trying to smear DT and it is so obvious–dont get fooled–the strong push to smear DT is due the fear the DNC and HC has that if DT gets in–the country will be out of their control and on the way to a better state. it is not surprising that people dont trust the media–if they are doing in the election coverage–they are doing it in the financial reporting–half truths and “white lies”–dont be fooled/// i cant wait to see the article: DT was responsible for 9/11 or believes in big foot and alien abductions or had hired a gardener that is related to p escobar’s babysitter–40 yrs ago–bogus–dont believe the media// media reporting = desperate used car salesman mentality–say anything to get the sale

    • AhiPoke says:

Although I don’t think of DT in a positive way, I agree with your assessment. The AP writer of this article is a bit more cleaver than most. The writer uses very subtle words here and there to cast a positive light on HR and negatively on DT. While politicians remain, by far, as the people I least admire, the media is catching up fast.

If it’s true Russia has hacked into the DNC computers then there is no doubt Clinton’s personal computer’s usage may have been compromised by many others during her reign as Secretary of State! The reckless decision to use her personal computer then doesn’t indicate good leadership! She may think it’s no big thing, but “Little thing means a lot”!

  7. Bumby says:

Pro Clinton people, I would like to hear the good she has done for the American people. Please list them if any and detail.

How dare anyone suggest that a white female is not the perfect person to rule the free world, next. And then after her, a LGXYZ person to lead all the people of the planet to prosperity and serenity through peace.

  9. cojef says:

Wondering if the Russians truly hacked into her server while she was Secretary of State? If yes, it does not speak well for our diplomatic efforts during her tenure as Secretary. Certainly the other nations are challenged if her dealing with them were compromised to the Russians. Sad that she was head strong and wanted it her way, not what the Department proscribed

So, is Donald T Rump an agent for Putin and the Republican party candidate for President? It sure looks and sounds like it.

  11. JustBobF says:

The reason Trump cannot understand what happened to 30,000 emails is because Trump doesn’t email. He had no idea that people trash their mail all the time. I get so much junk mail; and, I like to keep my in-box clean.

    • hawaiikone says:

I’m no hacker, but I’m pretty sure deleted emails at any level can be recovered by increasingly difficult steps in relation to the depth of the deletion. I don’t believe anyone has a solid handle on the capabilities of state sponsored cyber intelligence, but typically, if it’s targeted, it eventually can be had. It certainly would seem possible that those 30k emails are in someone’s possession, especially it they sourced from a private server.

Russia just harassing the US. They give out just as much as they receive from us.

  13. Carang_da_buggahz says:

I’m no fan of Hillary Clinton, but who the helll cares WHAT the Russians think? Make no mistake, confrontation is inevitable. If the Sea Hag wins, Russia AND China will waste no time testing the resolve of this obama-clone. I’d bet my next paycheck on that.
