The state Department of Public Safety said an extended-furlough inmate missing since Feb. 19 was returned Tuesday to the Hawaii Community Correctional Center.
Daniel Abraham, 35, was scheduled to check in Feb. 19 at the Hale Nani Reintegration Center but never did.
Police arrested him Saturday in Kealakekua on suspicion of second-degree escape.
Abraham was serving time for first-degree assault, kidnapping and a firearm offense. He had been scheduled for a parole hearing in June, the DPS said in a news release.
