Kathy Sakuma, left, welcomed Willie K, Japanese Consul General Yasushi Misawa and his wife, Yoko Misawa, to the 47th Annual Ukulele Festival Hawaii on Sunday at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. Willie was one of the stars of the 6-1/2-hour festival. The consul general appeared as a surprise guest earlier in the afternoon when he sat in with the 2016 Ukulele Festival Band and played “Kanaka Wai Wai.”
