The Wedding Cafe is kicking off its free Wednesday Night Workshops at the Ward Warehouse at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Every Wednesday through Oct. 2, the wedding specialists will host seminars for brides and grooms, each session focusing on one aspect of the wedding planning process.
During the workshops, couples will have the opportunity to get advice from some of Hawaii’s leading wedding experts on topics ranging from budget and planning, venues, music and entertainment, and more.
Couples will also have the chance to win prizes such as a wedding gown valued at $2,000, hotel stays, discounts for photograph and video services, a groom’s cake valued at $500, and more.

Burberry reopens store at Ala Moana
The redesigned Burberry Ala Moana store reopened following a blessing July 14.
The new open layout features the Burberry Retail Theatre concept with a video screen providing a multisensory experience, including live events streamed directly from the brand’s global headquarters in London.
Central to the space is the Burberry Scarf Bar, stocked with cashmere scarf designs in more than 30 colors and prints. A collect-in-store service allows customers to shop online at Burberry.com and pick up their order in store as early as the following day.

Cuts for Kids offers free salon services
Paul Brown Institute at Remington College will once again be providing youths age 17 and younger with free back-to-school haircuts during August through its Cuts for Kids program.
The service will be provided by students and instructors in the college’s cosmetology diploma program at 1132 Bishop St., Suite 550, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays except Wednesday, when hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 587-8448. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Parents will also be able to get a free salon service during Cuts for Kids, when anyone who brings in a donation of school supplies — pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. — can get a free haircut, manicure or pedicure.
To date, the school has provided more than 15,000 free back-to-school haircuts through its Cuts for Kids program.
