Wine seminars of the highly exclusive variety have been scheduled for this year’s Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival. Participation is limited to 50 for each event on Oct. 29 at the Halekulani:
>> Masters of Meursault: Antoine Jobard of Domaines Antoine Jobard will participate in a tasting of several of his “library wines” (older wines prized by collectors), along with rare offerings from Jean-Marc Roulot and Domaine Coche-Dury. The session runs 9:30 to 11 a.m. Cost is $200.
>> The Rarities: A tasting of Bordeaux from the 1980s, including Angelus, Margaux and Pavie, along with two 1990s Rhone wines, Jaboulet La Chapelle and Chave Hermitage. The vertical tasting allows a comparison of the same wine over several vintages. The session runs 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $295.
