Two people killed in Waiahole crash identified
The cause of death is pending tests for two people killed in a head-on collision in Waiahole late Thursday night.
The medical examiner identified the driver and passenger who died when the sports car they were in was hit by a pickup truck that crossed the centerline on Kamehameha Highway near Waiahole Homestead Road.
Mark Matsushima, 55, of Honolulu, and Sefilina Gray, 33, of Honolulu, were in a 1986 red Corvette heading south when a white 1991 Toyota pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man heading north crossed into their lane.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck may have been speeding and may have been intoxicated when the collision occurred. Investigators opened a negligent homicide investigation.

Terrible tradegy.
As always the SA, releases the names of victims but not of the perpetrator. Tell me SA, was there another person driving the pickup truck that crossed the center line? Crazy, maybe that other person is in the bushes and HPD overlooked that.
